GrandCentral Connects With Global Crossing's VoIP Local Service for Unified Communications

Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced that GrandCentral Communications, Inc. (http://www.grandcentral.com), a next-generation personal communications company, has selected Global Crossing VoIP Local Service(TM) to its converged personal communications solution.
Global Crossing's VoIP Service enables GrandCentral's unified communications customers to eliminate multiple phone numbers by assigning a single phone number as their personal identity access to voicemail via phone, e-mail or the Internet. Global Crossing provides GrandCentral with single IP interconnection, transport and call completion of packet-based voice traffic over Global Crossing's integrated IP and TDM platforms. This gives them a secure, reliable, high-quality inbound voice service necessary for next- generation applications.

Global Crossing announced this week that it is adding new features to its Global Crossing VoIP Local Service(TM) and extending the service into Rome, Milan and Hong Kong. The company also announced it is expanding the United States availability of VoIP Local Service to 83 additional communities.
VoIP Local Services have been extended to Hong Kong and Italy supporting the existing suite of VoIP Outbound and converged IP services is those two markets. VoIP Local service is also available in Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, UK and the United States. Global Crossing VoIP Local Service complements the company's VoIP Outbound services, which are available from 29 countries around the world, and provides the consistency multinational customers require from global services.
