CITEL ANNOUNCES EXTENDER SUPPORT FOR AVAYA IP OFFICE

New EXTender Enables Distributed Enterprises to Increase Cost Savings and Productivity with Unified, Centralized Avaya IP Office Platform

Citel, the VoIP Migration Company(TM) (LSE AIM:CITE.L), today announced EXTender(TM) support for Avaya IP Office. The EXTender 4000 and EXTender 6000 are designed to seamlessly distribute rich IP Office features and services to branch and home offices.

The EXTender 4000 is designed for home offices and other single-user remote sites, while the EXTender 6000 is designed for multi-user remote sites. Combined with a Citel PBXgateway(TM) termination device at the central PBX location, enterprises seamlessly pass IP Office features and applications to Avaya Definity 6400, 5400, 2400, and Magix 4400 series handsets.

"Today's workforce is mobile and decentralized. To be competitive, businesses need to be able to connect branch offices and remote workers in a more cost effective, seamless way," said Michael Robinson, CEO of Citel. "With the EXTender 4000 and 6000, businesses can focus on maintaining a single, central PBX platform while delivering all the benefits of IP telephony to remote workers."

Reduce Costs, Increase Productivity and Continuity

The EXTender 4000 and 6000 help businesses reduce costs, as well as increase productivity and continuity. By distributing the features and applications of a central corporate PBX, enterprises eliminate the need for separate branch office PBX or KTS systems. The EXTender 4000 has one port, and the EXTender 6000 is available in 8 or 12 port configurations. EXTenders scale based on the needs of the enterprise and allow for headquarters support when remote IT resources are not available.

In addition, the EXTender 6000 has an optional FXO port. By selecting the handset's analog line, 911 calls are routed via the FXO port for easy call locating, and provide survivability in the event of WAN failure.

The EXTender 4000 and EXTender 6000 are available via Citel's worldwide network of service providers and distributors. For more information about the EXTender, or to locate a Citel reseller or distributor, visit www.citel.com.
