16 February 2007
Ascalade Communications Inc. ("Ascalade" or "the Company") (TSX: ACG) today announced that it will be showcasing its latest digital cordless telephony product lines with enhanced features to select customers and partners at CeBIT 2007 from March 15 to March 21, 2007. Ascalade will discuss and demonstrate the latest in its DECT and VoIP product offerings to key strategic customers and partners during the annual global tradeshow in Hannover, Germany. The latest value-added feature included in Ascalade's 2007 DECT cordless phones is a Low Radiation DECT technology which will reduce the amount of standby and active radiation emitted from both the handset and telephone base. This new feature allows end users concerned with radiation to automatically or manually adjust emitted radiation on their DECT cordless handsets while enjoying proven sound quality and low interference. Ascalade's 2007 line of DECT phones will also feature new industrial designs to capture and meet the latest consumer demands in functionality and style. New designs include a slimmer handset and base as well as colorful LCD screens. All DECT-enabled products offer proven voice quality and great ranges, providing end users with a high quality low interference communication experience. (DECT stands for Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications and is a digital technology standard widely used in Europe and Asia and recently approved in North America.) "This annual event provides us with a prime opportunity to meeting with our strategic customers and partners around the world," said Peter Sharp, Director of Sales and Marketing, Ascalade Europe, "We look forward to in-depth discussions with our key customers and technology partners on our latest DECT and VoIP products."
