10 February 2007
BSM Technologies Inc. (GPS: TSX-V) (http://www.bsmtechnologies.com) a leading provider of GPS-based AVL (Automatic Vehicle Security and Tracking) secure vehicle and trailer fleet tracking and management solutions is pleased to announce today that it has entered into a national Marketing and Data Solutions Agreement with TELUS. This will allow both BSM and TELUS to jointly market, sell, promote and support BSM's SentinelFM AVL and Secure Fleet Management Solution through respective sales channels and internet properties. "As previously announced in April 2006, BSM is certified on the TELUS 1X network. This new Partnership Agreement now solidifies the strong relationship between both companies. Based on the overwhelming acceptance of the BSM Single and Dual-Mode AVL and Fleet Management products, the Agreement now extends the sales, marketing and revenue generating opportunities for both partners", said Michael Bookbinder, Director of Sales, at BSM wireless. TELUS SALES CHANNELS OPEN NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR BSM "As part of the Data Service and Marketing Partnering Agreement, BSM is providing training and a robust SentinelFM demonstration site to all TELUS sales channels for training, customer demos and to generally gain experience with using the BSM SentinelFM AVL solution. Based on the training and knowledge transfer being provided by BSM, the TELUS sales channels are now ramping up to open new opportunities in all transportation and service sectors. This agreement now provides a method for the TELUS sales channels to increase activations and data pack revenues for TELUS and for increasing the installed base for BSM. This is a 'win-win' situation for both parties," continued Bookbinder. The Data Service and Marketing Agreement provides for both party's sales organizations to utilize each others logos and other marketing materials to promote mutual product offerings, i.e. AVL Fleet Management solutions and wireless web-based network applications. To enhance the strength of the partnership, both TELUS and BSM are already displaying each others trademarks and logos, as well as, internet links to the respective websites to extend the exposure and awareness of the relationship. To maximize the exposure and business opportunities, TELUS has recently conducted an AVL and Fleet Management mail campaign to its entire Canadian sales staff. Further to that, BSM Wireless and TELUS are jointly increasing exposure in each other's marketing, publications, executive briefings, events, trade shows and seminar schedules to educate, train and generate sales revenues throughout Canada. The Partnership Agreement provides for the mutual introduction of sales opportunities and processes for BSM's AVL and Fleet Management solution and TELUS 1X CDMA Data Networking. "We are excited about this marketing agreement with BSM Wireless as it provides a rich and robust solution to our sales channels for revenue generation and data utilization," said Jim Senko, VP Mobility Solutions at TELUS. "The BSM product offering adds new dimensions to our existing solutions portfolio. TELUS provides GPS solutions that are available in four 'graduated tiers' from handset based navigation, handset tracking, handset tracking with dispatch capabilities and vehicle tracking. These are comprehensive solutions tailored to meet the needs of many industries in which vehicle operations and efficiencies are becoming a major part of success criteria and bottom lines." PARTNERSHIP HAS GENERATED SIGNIFICANT SALES TO DATE "We are very pleased to state that since receiving certification on the Telus 1X CDMA Network, BSM has closed and implemented major AVL and Fleet Management opportunities and achieved significant revenues inclusive of hardware and ASP services from these deals. This is indicative of a sound working partnership between BSM Wireless AVL and Fleet Management and Telus Mobility as the network carrier. Both organizations are very pleased and honored to have added prestigious companies using BSM's dual mode fleet management from the following respective industries: Oil & Gas - Weatherford International, High Artic Energy Services LP and Sanjel. Long Haul and Cartage - Cooney Transportation, Koch Transport and Consolidated Fastfrate amongst others." added Bookbinder.
