Sunrise Telecom(R) Names Peter Moulds Vice President North American Sales

16 January 2007

Increasing its team to address significant growth in its telecom, wireless, and cable test equipment business, Sunrise Telecom(R) Incorporated (Pink Sheets: SRTI.PK), today announced the appointment of Peter Moulds as vice president, North American sales. In this role, Mr. Moulds will be responsible for expanding the North American sales team in order to capture business in established and emerging communications service provider markets and for the strategic management of the North American sales organization.

Mr. Moulds succeeds Robert Heintz, who will help transition the leadership of the North American sales organization, and will continue to serve Sunrise Telecom as vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. This is the latest in a series of initiatives designed to enhance the company's leadership position in the rapidly evolving triple play and converged services market.

"With nearly 20 years of experience managing dynamic sales organizations in both start-up and large company environments, Peter has a proven track record of achieving outstanding results with consistent revenue growth," said Bob Heintz, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Sunrise Telecom. "2007 promises to be an exciting year for Sunrise Telecom, and I'm confident that Peter's experience and relationships with Tier 1 telecommunications service providers will help drive our sales growth to new levels."

Throughout his career, Mr. Moulds has held increasingly senior sales and marketing positions. He served as vice president of sales for the United States and Canada at Ascend Communications, now part of Lucent Technologies, where he was a member of the initial team that grew the company's annual sales to over $200 million and led the company to a highly successful IPO in 1994. As vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for communications access equipment provider Larscom, he was instrumental in developing the global sales strategy that helped the company grow to profitability, and that led to its acquisition by Verilink. Mr. Moulds began his career in marketing at Hewlett-Packard.

"Sunrise Telecom continues to demonstrate strong growth and the forward-thinking, customer-centric approach that leading telecommunications companies seek in a partner," said Moulds. "The company's strong management team, leading-edge technology, and unique ability to meet customer needs position it firmly as a global leader in the communications test equipment marketplace."

Mr. Moulds earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
