Bristol County Savings Bank opens State-of-the-Art Branch Office in Dartmouth.

Bristol County Savings Bank, a $1.2 billion mutual savings bank founded in 1846 and headquartered in Taunton, has opened a new 4,228 square foot office in Dartmouth that features a host of nontraditional amenities and modern services to go along with the bank s longstanding reputation for stability, security and community commitment.
Rich in architectural detail and distinctive design features, the new 4,228 square foot Dartmouth office offers customers such amenities as a coffee bar, self-service free coin counting machine, internet banking center and multi-media merchandising area. "This new office underscores our commitment to becoming an integral part of the future of banking in this area" said Bristol County Savings Bank CEO Dennis Kelly.

Bristol County Saving s decision to make such a significant commitment to the new Dartmouth office was driven by the success and reception received by the bank s Dartmouth Lending Center opened in 2005. "With all the changes in the banking landscape this area has seen in recent years," says Kelly, "We felt that people will be receptive to another, independent community banking alternative that provides both personal service and a full range of products to meet their wide range of banking needs."
Designed by DRL & Associates, Inc. of Weymouth, Mass., the new Bristol County Savings Bank office on Route 6 features hipped gables and deep soffits, with various colors and textures of exterior materials used to create a modern interpretation of traditional shingle style architecture. Topping off this distinctive design is a clerestory cupola with standing seam copper roofing and a custom copper weathervane. Upon entering the lobby the public will be treated to a view replete with a custom marble medallion and cathedral ceilings lit by natural light streaming through the windows of the cupola. The bank hopes the distinctive building will become a landmark along Route 6 in Dartmouth, minutes from New Bedford and Fall River.
