iSECUREtrac Chosen by South Dakota Department of Corrections for Sex Offender Management

iSECUREtrac Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: ISEC), an industry leader in offender management technology and services, has been awarded a statewide pilot contract by the South Dakota Department of Corrections to electronically monitor sex offenders within the state.
iSECUREtrac will provide remote alcohol testing, both active and passive GPS (global positioning satellite) monitoring, and in-field training. The iSECUREtrac remote alcohol testing system integrates video identity verification with remote breath alcohol testing. The iSECUREtrac active GPS monitoring system provides location data and notification of parole violations in near real-time, while the passive system provides daily location reports of the offender's movements.

The pilot program will run through June 2007 and includes all three major probation and parole facilities within the state. Once the pilot program, including officer training, has been complete, plans include expanding the initial roll out to include a greater percentage of the state's 1,200 registered sex offenders. iSECUREtrac will deploy its remote alcohol testing and GPS systems across the state beginning this month.
