General Dynamics Information Technology Receives GSA Excellence in Partnership Award

28 November 2006

General Dynamics Information Technology was named "Most Valuable Schedule Contractor" by the Coalition for Government Procurement, Federal Times and the General Services Administration (GSA) as part of the 2006 Excellence in Partnership Awards program on November 13. General Dynamics Information Technology is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).

The Excellence in Partnership Awards recognize people and organizations that have significantly contributed to the promotion and utilization of the GSA Schedules program, which uses long-term contracts to provide access to supplies and services via the GSA's online shopping and ordering system. The Most Valuable Schedule Contractor award honors the schedule contractor that has worked vigorously to promote the schedules program and that has an exceptional reputation of working with GSA as well as serving the customer's needs.

"General Dynamics Information Technology's use of GSA schedules and government wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) has helped our company respond to the mission-critical needs of our government clients. We believe our partnership with GSA greatly benefits taxpayers by delivering competitively priced, effective and reliable solutions in IT infrastructure, software applications and managed services," said Ray Whitehead, vice president for Business Development and Strategic Planning at General Dynamics Information Technology.

General Dynamics currently provides services to hundreds of clients through nine GSA schedules, including schedules for Information Technology, Professional Engineering and Mission Oriented Business Integration Services. General Dynamics supports GSA's GWAC program through the ANSWER and Millennia Lite contracts.

"GSA schedules offer agencies direct access and volume discounts for thousands of supplies and services to ensure our government derives maximum value from its purchases," said Skip Derick, vice president of GSA Schedules Programs at General Dynamics Information Technology. "We are extremely proud to receive this award and recognition for our support of GSA's programs."
