Cingular Wireless Provides Service and Handsets to United Service Organizations Centers in Texas

Cingular Wireless, the country's largest wireless provider, has partnered with the United Service Organizations (USO) to make it easier for service men and women to stay in touch with their loved ones. Cingular is donating wireless handsets and free service to USO centers in Houston (Bush and Hobby airports), and at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, and Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.
Each USO location will receive seven Cingular wireless phones for service members to make local and long-distance calls nationwide. In addition, the Houston USO airport centers also will receive five wireless phones. USO staff at the four centers also will receive five wireless phones for their professional use.
"We owe our men and women in uniform a huge debt of gratitude for their sacrifice and commitment," said LeAnn Priebe, president of Cingular's Central Region, which includes Texas. "Our partnership with the USO shows our appreciation for all these brave Americans do. We are proud to help service members and their families make a special connection that they will long remember."
