Mobile Entertainment Industry Podcast Features Interviews with Top Industry Executives

A new podcast allows mobile content industry professionals to hear opinions and information about mobile entertainment from the industry leaders and innovators each week.
Multimedia content (video, audio, photos & music) is driving revenues for mobile phone carriers around the world. In Europe alone, total mobile services revenue is forecast to grow at a compound average growth rate of 6.2% from EUR138.4 billion in 2005 to EUR198.4 billion in 2011 according to a new report by Analysys. In 2011, mobile TV services will have some 514 million subscribers worldwide, up from only 6.4 million at the end of 2005, a new ABI Research study has found.
Now there is a new weekly podcast & blog focusing on the world of mobile phone entertainment and content. It is called, oddly enough, "The Mobile Entertainment Industry Blog & Podcast". The premiere episode included an interview with mobile video and content innovator Gerrit Jan Kronijnenberg, CEO of Comsys in the Netherlands, and July 10th's podcast discusses mobile marketing and viral content distribution with Cascada Mobile president Neil Closner. The podcast also features reports on trends & research as well as offering lively opinions and commentary on happenings and trends within the mobile content industry. This weekly podcast is available free via iTunes, Odeo & other pod-catchers, and via RSS subscription.
With more than 1.4 billion mobile phone subscribers globally Robinson is calling this rapidly-growing business, "The New Mass Medium". Future episodes of the podcast include conversations about mobile TV, mobile games as well as ringtones and messaging.
Future episodes will feature interviews with carrier and technology executives, as well and handset manufacturers and other mobile content professionals. The podcast is published every Monday at Midnight Pacific Time and 8 AM, GMT.
