Mobile Bidding Application Earns Top Award in Lucent Technologies Application Innovation Contest and UTStarcom No Longer Facing Delisting

Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) announced recently that a prototype application that enables mobile bidding for goods and services has been selected as the winning entry during the Lucent Cup Software Application Innovation Contest in China. The contest, initiated and sponsored by Lucent Bell Labs Research China in collaboration with Southeast University in Nanjing, China, featured 173 individuals and teams from 22 universities and colleges in China that developed and submitted applications encompassing mobile public services, enterprise services, personal security services, and mobile entertainment applications. Representatives from major operators served as judges. UTStarcom Inc. (NASDAQ: UTSI) has received notice from Nasdaq that it has fulfilled requirements for continued listing on the stock exchange, the company announced Friday. The notice came after the Alameda communications company filed financial results for the first quarter of 2006 and the year ended Dec. 31, 2005. Nasdaq notified UTStarcom in March that it faced delisting for failing to file financial results on time. Diamond I, Inc. (OTC BB:DMOI), a developer of wireless gaming products, recently advised that its CEO was quoted in an article written by Jack Bulavsky entitled "Gaming on the Go" appearing in the June 2006 edition of "Casino Journal," whose cover story is "Technology in Hand." In his article, Mr. Bulavsky discusses the exciting future of wireless gaming in Nevada casinos and states that "the future for wireless gaming remains so bright that many operating and wireless gaming manufacturers are wearing sunglasses."
