EQO Communications Adds to Executive Management Team

EQO Communications, a leading developer of presence-enabled calling and instant messaging solutions and services, today announced that the company has added three executives to the management team. Laura Colwill joins EQO as the company's new Chief Financial Officer, Todd Heintz joins as EQO's Vice-President of Business Development, and Craig Hughes comes on board as Director of Operations.

Laura Colwill, who now fills the role of Chief Financial Officer, brings over 20 years of financial experience to EQO. Laura most recently held the position of Director of Finance at MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. She was previously part of the high-tech practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has worked as a Surveillance Officer for the TSX Venture Exchange. Laura has also worked with KPMG in Canada and internationally and is a Chartered Accountant.
Todd Heintz joins the company as EQO's Vice-President of Business Development. Prior to joining EQO, Todd was a Director of Marketing for Sierra Wireless where he led the company's Smartphone and email and search software product lines. He managed partnerships and led the launch of Sierra's first CDMA product. Todd was formerly a manager at Ernst & Young Cap Gemini Consulting, leading numerous corporate strategy, and sales and marketing and ecommerce assignments. Todd has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Craig Hughes, EQO's newly named Director of Operations, has founded numerous startup companies over the past two decades, including Altus Solutions and Push Systems. Prior to joining EQO, Craig was the Director of Operations for Mobile Operandi, a mobile entertainment and application company recently acquired by 3GUpload. Craig spent 9 years with Siemens plc where he was responsible for the design, development and deployment of software projects. Craig has a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from North Staffs University, UK.
