Ellisys, a leading supplier of test solutions for CertifiedWireless USB, today unveiled unique features for its WiMedia-based protocolanalyzer for Certified Wireless USB, the Ellisys Wireless USB Explorer 300.The Wireless USB Explorer 300 now includes a graphical timingrepresentation of packets transmitted over the air, enabling developers tovisually identify timing errors and more easily understand protocolsubtleties.
The Ellisys' InstantTiming™ window enables users to clearly view timeallocations and violations, measure protocol item duration and understandthe traffic sequences involved in the WiMedia wireless protocols.Developers can visualize Ultrawideband frames and Wireless USB timingallocations, zoom or pan in real-time and measure absolute or relativetime.
Dedicated to making USB and wireless USB R&D faster and easier fordevelopers, Ellisys has previously introduced several time-saving featureswith its Instant functionalities series. The new Ellisys' InstantTiming™graphical representation of Wireless USB packet timing supplements theInstant functionalities series and will be supplied free of charge toexisting customers as a software update.
These functions identify and report issues to the protocol analyzer userfor resolution at an early stage of the development project. This approachnot only improves product quality, but also increases R&D productivity.
