Webswell Inc. Enters European Market with its Open-source ebXML B2B Solutions

The primary purpose of new office is to help European small and medium sized companies (SME) to build B2B and integration solutions utilizing ebXML standards, while minimizing the cost by using completely free, open-source software products. The new office will also serve as a software development center for both American and European sites.
Why orientation towards SME?
Large enterprises which have Integrated their systems and which electronically trade with partners are efficient and thus have improved financial performance. Small and medium sized enterprises want the same benefits, however, existing solutions are expensive and can negate the potential financial gains. Webswell sees this and by taking advantage of the open source movement and embracing the architecture of web services we can offer to these organizations a low cost solution that let’s them integrate their systems and trade electronically without spending laarge sums of money.
Why free and open source software (OSS)?

- Source is available for changing
- Commoditized software, OSS components are based on a standards making them swappable with other components supporting the same standard
- The software is available freely for anyone to learn creating a vast pool of trained resources, no monetary cost of entry into the pool of trained resources
- Customers are not locked into a single vendor. Vendors can’t hold an enterprise hostage. The creator may vanish but the software won’t.
