NYIIX, the New York metro area's largest publicand private peering exchange, and Latin America's leading carrier andprovider of IP-based connectivity and services, Impsat Fiber Networks,signed an agreement to increase bandwidth access between the Americas. TheNYIIX member's move to 1GigE was in response to growing traffic volume anddemand for faster connectivity.
TELEHOUSE America, which operates NYIIX, also joined forces with Impsat. Acooperative partnership now makes each company's products and servicesavailable to the other's respective clients.
