Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. to hold annual meeting of shareholders and first quarter 2006 conference call

Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. ("MTS") will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern time. The Company will also hold a conference call with the investment community to discuss MTS's first quarter 2006 financial results at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.
