New Website Launched to Market and Promote Ayrshire Businesses Online
25 April 2006
Called Ayrshire Business News (www.ayrshirebusinessnews.com), it is based around a webring. Member companies will be able to display a stylish but discreet webring membership banner on the front page of their own website. Embedded in this banner is a hyperlink to the websites of all other member companies. The purpose of this is to provide each member company's website with links from all other members. As Google and other leading search engines assess websites according to the number of links from other relevant sites, membership of the webring will enhance a company's position on search engine results pages, making them more likely to be accessed by potential customers. Next, full details of member companies will be displayed in a classified online Ayrshire business directory. But in addition to the webring and business directory, Ayrshire Business News is also an online business newspaper, in which members will be guaranteed a news story or feature article every month with an accompanying high quality colour photograph. Each story or article will be carefully edited and optimised in order to maximise its impact on search engines, and there will be a hyperlink from each story to the member company's own website. Members will be offered the additional option of a short video clip interview to illustrate each story. Also in the online newspaper are live up-to-the-minute general news, business and sports headlines from the Scotsman and the BBC, which readers can click to get the full story. It is also possible to listen to the latest BBC radio news summary. Ayrshire Business News is aimed to be the only media outlet for Ayrshire businesses to communicate instantly with each other, their staff, and customers both at home and throughout the world. Within an hour of a story being received, it can be published on the website for all to read. An instant e-mail service will alert all member companies of the publication of every new article or feature story. There is also a recruitment page where members will be able to advertise staff vacancies at no extra cost. Frazer Coogans senior partner Norman Geddes commented: "This innovative service provides Ayrshire businesses with a unique combination of benefits at a very moderate cost. "Until now it has been difficult for local companies to propagate news about their products and services instantaneously. "But now the Ayrshire Business News website provides that facility." For a limited period, membership of Ayrshire Business News is available at a special introductory subscription rate of £50 per month. http://www.ayrshirebusinessnews.com Enquiries: Norman G Geddes Senior Partner Frazer Coogans Solicitors Dalblair House 46 Dalblair Road AYR KA7 1UQ Scotland Tel: 01292 280499 Fax: 01292 611645 / 01292 272601 E-mail: norman@frazercoogans.co.uk Web: http://www.frazercoogans.co.uk Issued by: Murdoch MacDonald Fame Publicity Services 10 Miller Road AYR, Ayrshire Scotland KA7 2AY Tel: 01292 281498 Mob: 07833 667322 Web: http://www.famepublicity.co.uk
