One Connect IP Acquires ZiaNet

One Connect IP, a leading regional Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service provider, today announced its acquisition of ZiaNet, the largest privately held Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the state of New Mexico. One Connect IP currently serves business and residential customers throughout the Mountain West Region and with this acquisition, the Company will immediately be able to deliver its hosted VoIP services to an additional 30,000 business and residential customers throughout New Mexico.
For more than a year prior to the acquisition, One Connect IP had been leveraging ZiaNet's extensive network to serve its VoIP customers in New Mexico. "This acquisition is strategically important to One Connect in a number of ways. It not only provides us with an opportunity to rollout our VoIP services more quickly, it also strengthens our ability to control and manage the quality of voice service delivered over this network," said Robert Pratt, CEO of One Connect.
One Connect IP plans to make its VoIP services available to all of ZiaNet's existing customers as a co-branded One Connect/ZiaNet offering. "We will give ZiaNet customers more choices for less cost, access to next generation VoIP services and, for most, their first real alternative to traditional phone service," said Aquiles Trujillo, Executive Vice President of One Connect IP.

Mesa Capital Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Santa Fe, New Mexico, led the investment round for One Connect IP with additional funding provided by Silicon Valley Bank.
