Need A Source? - Toshiba of Canada Environmental Program Proves Canadians Care About Sustaining the Earth

In the spirit of Earth Day on April 22, 2006 Toshiba of Canada encourages Canadians to take advantage of a free proactive environmental program. TERRE (Toshiba Environmental Recycling and Recovery Effort) is a pan industry PC disposal program to help protect the environment from toxic chemicals in landfills.
Toshiba ensures that PC hardware and any associated components that pose environmental risks will be collected, dismantled and safely disposed of, regardless of the manufacturer. Any Canadian resident with unwanted and outdated PC components can alert Toshiba that they're ready to safely dispose of their hardware by registering at www.toshiba.ca/TERRE.
Since launching the program on March 23, 2006, Toshiba has collected and safely disposed of 137 pieces of PC hardware and components and over 25,000 hits have been recorded on the TERRE website. TERRE is just one example of Toshiba's aggressive environmental and eco-efficiency mandates.
