Fujitsu Delivers Keynote, Exhibits Reference Boards at Upcoming Broadband Wireless World Forum 2006

Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) announced today that two leaders from Fujitsu will keynote the Broadband Wireless World Forum 2006, hosted at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. In addition, the company has released a new technology backgrounder detailing the application of its WiMAX reference design board for systems developers creating WiMAX-compliant subscriber units. On Friday, April 28, 2006, at 11 a.m., Makoto "Mac" Awaga, head of Mobile Solution Business Division for Fujitsu Limited's Electronic Devices Group, and Keith Horn, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Fujitsu Microelectronics America, will jointly deliver a conference keynote presentation entitled "Communications On-The-Go: New Business Opportunities in the Broadband Wireless Era." The keynote will discuss Fujitsu's vision of wireless fixed and mobile convergence, and show how telecommunications equipment and service providers can best leverage the convergence of wireless technologies to provide the best access anytime, anywhere. Fujitsu expects carriers and handset providers to leverage and converge wireless access technologies to deliver the best service options to their users based on their unique needs. The presentation will include examples of new AV multimedia services and applications for mobile devices.
