Cingular to Sell Ringtones and Verizon Wireless' New York Metro Network Ready

BellSouth Corp. has told regulators it recorded a $30 million charge for management job cuts in the first quarter. In the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Atlanta-based telecommunications company also said it expects to record $100 million in total charges this year related to job cuts. BellSouth (NYSE: BLS), which is in preparations to be bought by AT&T Inc., is the legacy Baby Bell for several southern states.
