Global Sources Wins "Top 1 Investor Relations Website" for Small/mid-Cap Companies in Asia/Pacific/Africa Region

NEW YORK, March 18, 2006 -- The Investor Relations Global Rankings® and Awards (IRGR) gave Global Sources Ltd. (NASDAQ: GSOL) two awards at its February event: — "Top 1 IR Website" — "TOP 5 Disclosure Procedure" The IR Websites category recognizes companies with the highest rating based on the six attributes of content, technology, data manipulation, interactivity, design and timeliness. The Disclosure Procedure category recognizes companies that have the best earnings releases and disclosure processes, prioritizing equal treatment and assuring that all investors receive the same information simultaneously. IRGR recognizes companies with the best investor relations practices among seven industry groups worldwide. Altogether, 145 participants in 31 countries were considered in the ranking.
