BLOCK LISTING OF SHARES

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London StockExchange for a block listing of 11,000,000 ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each inCOLT Telecom Group plc. These shares are being allotted to trade on the LondonStock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List upon allotment pursuantto the Company's obligations under the COLT Savings-Related Share Option SchemePlan(s). Participants in the Plan have or will become entitled to these sharesfollowing the exercise of share options. These shares will rank equally with theexisting issued ordinary shares of the Company.
