Alan Kay, featured speaker at La Boule de Cristal du CRIM, reveals his vision of the future of information technologies

On Thursday February 16, in conjunction with the opening day of CRIM's annual La Boule de Cristal conference (http://www.crim.ca/fr/accueil-boule.html) and immediately following his conference session (which begins at 11:00 am), Mr. Alan Kay will be holding a press briefing at 12:15 pm. This renowned American scientist, a pioneer in the field of Information Technologies, will take advantage of his participation in this year's La Boule de Cristal du CRIM to share his vision of the future of Information Technologies. In addition, on February 16 and 17 and in keeping with the main theme of this year's 3rd annual event - Information Security -, we will be hosting a contest designed to test the skills of some sixty university students. The students will be required to leverage their expertise and ingenuity in order to protect their previously configured computers from competitor attacks, while attempting to uncover the flaws in their competitors' computers.
