Las Vegas-Based DAV Productions Announces Addition of Cutting-Edge Audio and Video Equipment

DAV Productions announced today the acquisition of new production technology which will increase its corporate event production capabilities.
The full-service event and video production company has the privilege of being one of the first in North America to integrate the Yamaha M7CL Digital Mixing Console, which provides 48 individual channels and a state-of-the-art touch panel control surface.
An SLS RLA/2 “line array” system is also new to the DAV Productions audio department. Unlike traditional loudspeakers, a line array can reach a large audience without the need for “delay” speakers to carry sound to those seated in balconies or in the back of the room. Additionally, the SLS cabinets incorporate a ribbon driver (rather than a typical horn driver) for high-frequency sounds. The result is a stunning “hi-fi” reproduction of sound. “Our SLS speakers provides a crystal-clear reproduction that I would liken more to a home theater than to a P.A. system,” says Operations Director Tom Roland.
DAV Productions has also doubled the size of its Meyer Sound inventory over the past two months. “We’ve had great success with Meyer loudspeaker equipment,” says Ben Brownback, part-owner and Chief Operating Officer. “By adding more MSL4 and UPA loudspeakers and 700 HP subwoofers, we are confident that we can provide the best tools on the market to our clients.”
The company has also significantly upgraded its Watchout system—a multiscreen video and graphics system by Dataton. Changes include switching from factory desktop computers to high-end rack mounted workstations, and upgrading to the newly announced version 3. These changes provide enhanced capabilities, including HD and multi-screen programming. The system projects seamless images onto large surfaces with unprecedented quality—a technology perfect for creating heart-pounding show openers, virtual sets, widescreen images and the highest level of speaker support with unlimited visual possibilities.
