An advanced modular night vision system, the AstroScope 9350 incorporates a state-of-the-art image intensifier that transforms dark scenes, below 10-4 lux, into bright, high-resolution images. At the 2005 GVExpo, Electrophysics will demonstrate the AstroScope’s ease-of-use and ability to converts many cameras and camcorders into night vision image capture systems that produce high quality imagery in near total darkness.
AstroScope incorporates a Gen III image intensifier into an advanced interchangeable module and features a custom relay optic, which generates sharp, edge-to-edge image detail without the vignetting normally associated with night vision photography, making it the highest performing system available for night vision photography or videography. Electrophysics also offers a wide range of intensifier performance levels and camera specific adapters and brackets that allow users to customize the AstroScope that fit their individual camera models.

One of the AstroScope 9350’s most unique features is its extremely user friendly design and ability to interface with a number of cameras. Models of the AstroScope are available for the Nikon AF-Type and Canon EOS-type SLR and DLSR cameras, a broad range of camcorders, including the Canon XL-2 and Sony DSR-PD170 camcorder and 2/3” Broadcast ENG cameras.
At less than 10 seconds, set up is effortless, and essentially no additional training is required in order to operate. The AstroScope system - comprising a front lens adapter, CIU, and back body adapter - is mounted between the objective lens and the camera body. When used on removable-lens cameras, the AstroScope 9350 features a seamless electronic integration that maintains existing electronic communication between the camera and the objective lens. Many lens functions, including image stabilization, are maintained. In addition, the AstroScope 9350 is powered directly from the camera, eliminating the need for additional batteries or power sources. The AstroScope is also rugged, featuring an epoxy-coated aluminum chassis, designed to survive typical tough field conditions.
