Clean Energy, Inc. Finalizes Distribution Agreement with Industrial Solar Technology Corporation (IST)
31 October 2005
The agreement grants Clean Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CLER) exclusive distribution rights to Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, and 19 countries in the heart of the African sunbelt, plus non-exclusive rights globally. IST and Clean Energy, Inc. will also be advancing projects throughout the United States on a joint venture basis.
Industrial Solar has over 20 years experience in thermal solar concentrating troughs that convert the sun's energy into useable heat energy for hot water, steam generation and cooling applications at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 Celsius). IST's systems have been operating successfully in the United States and many international locations including Germany, the Middle East, and Asia at commercial, research, and federal government locations for several years.
Clean Energy, Inc. has reviewed several leading PV and thermal solar systems over the course of six years. It is the opinion of the Company that no other solar technology on the market today has the same competitive advantage, overall system efficiency, or in field service performance.
"This superior technology allows us to provide our commercial, industrial, and government clients the opportunity to reduce their overall dependency on costly natural gas, by moving towards the use of the sun's endless abundance of heat energy," stated Harold Jahn, President/CEO Clean Energy, Inc. "We are very proud to be involved with the team at IST and are looking forward to working very closely on projects in the US and globally."
Clean Energy's goal is to install several megawatts of IST systems in the US, Europe, and Africa in 2006 and beyond.
