LogicLibrary Prominently Recognized Again at the 2005 Technology 50 Awards

25 October 2005

LogicLibrary(R), the leading provider of software development asset (SDA) management tools, today announced that both the company and CEO Greg Coticchia were named finalists in the annual Pittsburgh Technology 50 Awards, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Technology Council.

LogicLibrary was named a finalist in the Information Technology category and Coticchia earned his third straight nomination as CEO of the Year. Winners were announced yesterday, October 20, at the Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh.

LogicLibrary provides software and services that help major businesses manage software development assets. Internationally recognized companies such as MetLife, Kaiser Permanente, ING, Highmark, and Wyeth depend on LogicLibrary solutions to mange their enterprise and service-oriented architectures.

Among the many highlights of the past year, LogicLibrary inked the largest deal in the company's history as the IBM Software Group purchased an enterprise license of Logidex. LogicLibrary's flagship product is now being used by programmers for IBM WebSphere, IBM Rational, IBM Lotus, IBM DB2 and IBM Tivoli.

"The Pittsburgh Technology Council's recognition of our market success is a reflection of the dedication and skill of the entire LogicLibrary team," said Greg Coticchia. "This is an exciting time for the Pittsburgh technology market, with so many companies making significant strides in their respective fields. It is an honor to have the hard work and accomplishments of the LogicLibrary team acknowledged."

Since becoming CEO of LogicLibrary in 2002, Coticchia has helped the company achieve substantial growth in revenues, number of customers and market share. Coticchia has been working with emerging high-technology companies for almost 20 years. He currently serves, or has served, as an advisor or board member for several companies, many in the Pittsburgh-area, including: NFR, HobNob, Congruity Technologies, eBillingHub and Four River Software Systems. Coticchia also currently teaches at both the University of Phoenix and Duquesne University. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business, and a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Coticchia also completed Carnegie Mellon University's Entrepreneurial Management Program and has completed courses in the Concord Law School.

Since 1983, the Pittsburgh Technology Council has been the principal point of connection for companies from four primary clusters of the technology industry that are represented by a critical mass of businesses in southwestern Pennsylvania including Information Technology, Biomedical, Advanced Manufacturing/Materials and Environmental Technology. Each year, the Council honors the region's fastest-growing, most innovative technology companies with the Tech 50 Awards. PricewaterhouseCoopers is a partner in these awards and this year's sponsors were Catalyst Connection, Comcast, Highmark, Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP, and PNC Financial Services.
