Port of Los Angeles Seeks Information from Biofuel Technology Companies and Providers

Signaling a dramatic broadening of its environmental programs, the Port of Los Angeles is actively seeking ways to use biofuels as an alternative to diesel-fueled engines as a means to significantly reduce air emissions from its operations. The Port is accepting statements of interest from qualified biofuel technology and provider companies through November 14, 2005.
Information is being sought on the biofuels industry in the following areas:
types of products appropriate for equipment and vessel use various product blends product benefits and limitations cost(s) associated with each product interest in developing a biofuels infrastructure Targeted types of equipment are those traditionally diesel-fueled including, but not limited to:
