Texas Memory Systems Chooses KODAK Service and Support

2 September 2005

Texas Memory Systems, which manufactures the World's Fastest Storage® and is the market leader in solid state disk storage technology, has chosen Eastman Kodak Company's worldwide service organization to provide on-site warranty and post-warranty service for its solid state disk storage systems.

Based in Houston, Texas Memory Systems is an industry leader in solid state disk (SSD) technology, a fast, scalable platform for data storage. Kodak's worldwide service organization, KODAK Service & Support, is now recognized by Texas Memory Systems as an authorized service provider for its SSD devices.

"Stored data is typically mission critical, and when a company can't access it, that can greatly impact a company's productivity," said Woody Hutsell, executive vice president, Texas Memory Systems. "We chose Kodak as our service partner over an existing provider because its team of highly skilled engineers and global reach ensure minimal downtime for our customers."

KODAK Service & Support is made up of nearly 3,300 professionals reaching more than 120 countries.

"We are pleased to have Texas Memory Systems among storage manufacturers that have placed their trust in Kodak to provide the industry's standard for exceptional quality and support worldwide," said Joanne Boyd, director, Worldwide Business Development for Storage Services, Kodak. "We are honored to support the market leader in solid state disk storage technology and help Texas Memory Systems meet the ever-growing global needs of its customers."

KODAK Service & Support is a leading multi-vendor IT services provider, employing nearly 3,300 service professionals around the world, supporting more than 100 manufacturers of document scanners, storage devices and systems, and micrographic imaging equipment. The group supports the full spectrum of storage technologies, including tape libraries and drives; optical libraries and drives; mass storage devices (NAS/SAN); disk array/RAID systems; and autoloaders. Storage services offerings include:

-- Maintenance agreements, ranging from on-site service to advanced exchange and depot options, preventive maintenance, and choices of coverage up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year in most areas.

-- Warranty enhancements that extend many basic manufacturer offers.

-- Enhancement services such as installation, training, relocation, data conversion, or optical disk cleaning.

-- Help desk, from locations in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas, with multi-lingual capabilities.
