Former Internet Crown Jewel Excite@Home to Sell Million Dollar Domain Name Assets

The At Home Liquidating Trust, the successor to Excite@Home, announced today the marketing and sale of Excite@Home's entire internet domain name portfolio. The portfolio consists of several valuable names, including the domain name shoppingcart.com which was sold to ecommerce company MonsterCommerce for $285,000. www.Moniker.com will be the exclusive agent for all domain name sales.
The assets available for sale include 119 domain names. Certain trademarks associated with specific domain names will be sold concurrently. Names such as Stuff.com, Home.net, Mystuff.com and Firstyears.com are just a few of the domain names that will be sold.
The first sale approved by the Excite At Home Trust is the highly valued internet domain name shoppingcart.com. MonsterCommerce intends to leverage the domain by reaching out to businesses looking to build an e-commerce presence. “Shopping cart is a popular search term for businesses looking to establish an online presence. The term defines our industry and exactly what we do, said MonsterCommerce CEO Stephanie Leffler.
Moniker.com, responsible for major internet domain name sales such as wallstreet.com and autos.com, brokered the shoppingcart.com domain name sale and has been named the exclusive agent for all Excite@Home domain name sales. Monte Cahn, CEO of Moniker.com, estimates that the value of the available domain names in the portfolio is in excess of a million dollars. “There are several valuable domain names in the portfolio. Short Names like stuff.com and home.net will be highly prized assets in the sale.”
