Newfound Communications, a leading speech solution provider, announces the general availability of the Newfound MediaMixer 1.3 [VoiceXML Edition. The Newfound MediaMixer is a new software offering that addresses the growing demand for VoiceXML solutions and highly interactive and production-quality speech applications.

Working in concert with VoiceXML and VoIP, the MediaMixer feeds audio independent of the IVR prompts and dialogs with effects such as fade in, volume control or fade out as well as voice navigation tools such as fast forward, rewind or pause. The MediaMixer utilizes many of the most prominent audio formats available for telephony applications (.ulaw, .alaw, .WAV, etc.).
The Newfound MediaMixer is currently being deployed in conjunction with the #YES Beta at 1-888-YES-8888. The Newfound MediaMixer delivers background audio, sound effects and music for radio listeners who are to learn what song was played on the radio.
