Denise Brown, Executive Director of Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA), is now profiled on the Expert Information For Journalists website at http://expert411.com/_wsn/page12.html. Brown provides expert perspective on the Colorado Bioscience Industry, including backgrounding regarding Colorado's biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and agricultural biotech initiatives. She is also able to connect reporters to other individuals throughout the state for additional relevant information and expert commentary.

Denise Brown joined the Colorado Biotechnology Association (CBA) in August 2002. In 2003, a merger with the Colorado Medical Device resulted in the creation of the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA). From 1977 through 1984, she worked for the Governor of Colorado in three different senior staff positions, including Director of the Governor’s Job Training Office.

During her 17 years at the University of Colorado (1984 – 2001), Brown led major projects such as the corporate reorganization of University Hospital in the late 1980's, the transfer of the School of Pharmacy from the Boulder to the Health Sciences Center Campus, and the Fitzsimons Master Plan. She served as Chief of Staff to the President of CU for four years during her tenure at the University.

A Wyoming native whose family relocated to Colorado in 1960, Brown attended the University of Denver where she received a B.A. degree. She is married to Douglas G. Brown and they have two adult children.
