Wisconsin Webcaster Offers E-Marketing Wisetalk

Original marketing and tech-savvy tips are available in a new Podcast entitled WiseTalk, from Icon Interactive.™

The WiseTalk podcast is based on a popular “WiseTalk/Tech Know” e-marketing columns published by Troy Janisch, Icon Interactive’s founder and the host for many of the upcoming podcasts.

“Beginning to podcast the WiseTalk column is a natural extension for us,” Janisch said. “We’ve already integrated our IPods into the way we gather and absorb business-related content. All of our employees use MP3 players, podcasts and audio content from sites such as Audible.com.”

Podcasting is the online publishing of files in a way that allows for the subscription-like syndication and distribution of files as they become available. Most podcasts are audio in MP3 format, syndicated through the RSS protocol. While the term "podcasting" comes from Apple's popular "iPod" and "Broadcasting" podcasting does not require an iPod: any digital audio player or computer can play back podcasts.

“We are able to produce the audio version of WiseTalk quickly using technology and scriptable content that’s already available to us,” Janisch said. “It doesn’t require a huge commitment of additional resources.”

The first podcast is entitled, “The Best and The Rest: Rating Web Developers” helps marketers find reliable web developers using best practices. The WiseTalk podcast is distributed by AllPodcast.com, DigitalPod.com, PodcastingNews.com, PodcastShuffle.com, Podfeed.com and other popular podcast sites.

Icon Interactive has offered WiseTalk content for more than two years and provides a syndicated news feed to hundreds of Web sites. The column is also offered to business, technology and marketing publications.
