International Biometric Group's (IBG) extends an invitation to participate in IBG's monthly teleconference series today at 1:00 PM ET/ 10 AM PT.
IBG will examine the following topics:
- What are the newest mobile biometric devices on the market?
- How can biometrics be combined with technologies, such as RFID and Bluetooth, for more convenient and secure authentication?
- What are the implications of these developments for private and public sector deployers?
This month’s installation of IBG’s monthly teleconference series will provide an overview of the latest mobile biometric devices and their applications.
Mobile biometric solutions provide “deployers” with the capability to remotely process individuals for access control and identification purposes. Recently developed mobile biometric devices have the potential for mitigating many of the privacy concerns that are associated with the use of biometrics, as the biometric matching and template storage functions can be wholly executed within a portable device. Furthermore, vendors are producing innovative new products that combine biometrics with other related technologies such as RFID, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Joseph Kim, IBG’s Associate Director of Consulting, will discuss the newest generation of mobile biometric devices, and the implications of these developments for both private and public sector deployers.
