Introducing the National Digital Medical Archive(TM): the Superior Solution to the Management Of Digital Breast Imaging
23 May 2005
i3ARCHIVE, Inc. proudly announces a name change from the previously well-known National Digital Mammography Archive to the National Digital Medical Archive(TM) (still known as "NDMA"). An informal ceremonial name-change will take place at the 2005 Society for Computer Applications in Radiology [SCAR] Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. at a cocktail reception.
"We've enhanced our name to broaden and better define the context of how the NDMA is being received by the marketplace," says President Derek Danois. "We've witnessed an overwhelmingly positive reception to our grid-based medical imaging data management system, and want to respond to customer demands for broader scope. Specifically, customers have indicated that the previous reference to 'mammography' in the Company's flagship product suggested that our services were limited only to mammography. Our new name is meant to clarify and more accurately describe the breadth of our breast imaging services, which extend beyond mammography to include ultrasound and breast MR." While the Company name is more encompassing, the mission of the National Digital Medical Archive remains focused on providing a world-class healthcare information network specifically designed to solve the challenges posed by large data sets such as digital breast imaging and reporting management.
IBM's General Manager of Healthcare and Life Sciences, Carol Kovac, describes the NDMA as an example of the successful commercialization of aspects of a national healthcare information infrastructure. "Hosted on IBM's trusted and reliable global hosting network, the NDMA delivers real-time medicine, on-demand, making superior technology available nationwide," says Kovac. "The Company has proven success for the management and distribution of large data sets of medical information on a national scale, and can serve the needs and meet the high expectations of the nation's healthcare system."
In addition to its established partnerships with such companies as GE Medical Systems and IBM, i3ARCHIVE will be working aggressively to forge new alliances with a variety of Fortune 500 companies and other organizations as the communications and inter-connectivity partner to accelerate efforts to establish a national healthcare information network. i3ARCHIVE is proud to announce the National Digital Medical Archive as the solution for the comprehensive management of digital images and reports, and as the solution for providing real-time, on-demand access to its customers via its operational healthcare information network.
