Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT - News) announced today that it will be presenting its bacterial spore monitor, BSM-2000, used for detection of endospores such as anthrax, at the World Trade Week conference at the Port of Hueneme on May 25, 2005.

UDTT will be presenting BSM-2000 to potential partners and customers from the Port and various other agencies. "Our goal is to demonstrate the application of our endospore detection technology, developed in collaboration with JPL. We believe that ports are one of the prime targets for a bio-terrorist attack, vulnerable both as an actual target and as a hub for bringing lethal bio-agents into the homeland. Our technology can substantially increase the effectiveness of security infrastructure for ports, airports and other large public places," says Jacques Tizabi, UDTT's chairman and CEO.
