Certefi's Marketing Programs(TM) Deployed at Adaptec, Inc for Administration of Channel Pricing Discount Programs

Certefi, a provider of Product Accountability Management Software for OEMs and Manufacturers, today announced that Adaptec has deployed the first module of Certefi's Marketing Programs(TM) software, a web-based solution for administration of channel marketing programs including price discount activity. Certefi's Marketing Programs helps OEMs to administer and manage their channel marketing programs by providing them with a centralized repository to capture pricing agreements made with their distributors and resellers. Additional functionality includes capturing transactions associated with individual marketing programs.
At Adaptec, price discounts can now be requested by a geographically distributed sales force using a web based program and electronically routed for approval. Once approved, the agreements are sent to appropriate stakeholders, distributors and/or resellers. When claims are submitted by distributors and resellers, Adaptec is able to validate the claims prior to fulfilling them.

Certefi Marketing Programs is a flagship product of Certefi's Product Accountability Management Application Suite. The other products are Certefi Returns(TM), Certefi Entitlement(TM) and Certefi Service(TM). Certefi 's suite of products leverage existing information systems to bring together detailed information about products at critical points along the value chain and provide business process and analytical tools for accurate assessment and estimation of product accountability exposure.
Reduction in administrative costs
The underlying technology uses bi-directional intelligent agents to post invoices in real time to an ERP system. As each claim is processed, the ERP system is kept up to date, thus eliminating the need for double entry. Having access to information in a centralized location eliminates the need to manage dozens of spreadsheets, enabling better utilization of staff time for information analysis resulting in improved sales and marketing effectiveness.
Reduction in fraudulent claims
Certefi's smart business rules allow claims processors to ensure that all claims are supported by distributor sell-through orders. These orders are consumed to restrict multiple claims from using the same sell-through volume.
Accurate exposure calculations
The trending report analyzes historical agreements versus claims to help Finance project future exposure percentages. Based on these percentages, Certefi can calculate month by month and quarterly exposure numbers for the organization with increased accuracy and efficiency.
Additional revenue opportunities
Certefi's easy to use reporting features allow Sales to review all of their open agreements and follow up with partners to generate more sales.

Fast Track Implementation
With Certefi's Fast Track Implementation method, application deployment for Adaptec with its first Certefi pricing discount module was done in 6 weeks.
"Within 6 weeks of signing a contract, we were operational with workflows, reports and the SAP interface for our first module," said Hanrahan.
"Our goal was to load Adaptec's historical data from SAP into our application, configure the users and individual business rules and train the users within 6 weeks. Fast-track implementation is part of our core product strategy and we were able to accomplish it successfully at Adaptec," said Peter Bostwick, CEO of Certefi.
