Given Imaging Announces 85 Capsule Endoscopy Studies to Be Presented at Digestive Disease Week 2005

Given Imaging (Nasdaq: GIVN - News) announced today that 85 abstracts on capsule endoscopy will be presented at this year's Digestive Disease Week® 2005 (DDW®) in Chicago May 14 - 19 at McCormick Place. Given Imaging will host booth number 1024.

In addition, at DDW Given Imaging will commence the enrollment of sites for initial clinical trials of PillCam(TM) COLON. Similar to the PillCam SB and PillCam ESO, PillCam COLON is a naturally ingested, video capsule that will leverage the RAPID platform. On May 2nd, the Company announced its plans to submit the product for clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and launch it in Europe in 2006.
