COOLIO Signs to MIG Records for New Album

Henry Jones, Chairman of MIG Records is delighted to announce the signing of multi-platinum, multi-award winning artist Coolio to the label.
"We are pleased to embark on this new journey," said Dr. Jones. "And it is with great enthusiasm that we embrace Coolio." The two concluded negotiations after the signing of Coolio's new contract this afternoon at the MIG Records offices in Marina Del Rey.
Coolio, who is best known for his single, "Gangsta's Paradise" was very excited, saying that he "just wanted to make music."
Now under the MIG Records label, Coolio, like his fellow artists under the banner, takes on the additional title of "Ambassador for the Digital Divide." The 'Digital Divide' is a philanthropic corporate mandate of MIG Records that encourages awareness, understanding, knowledge and application of digital global village tools such as computers, Internet, cell phones and PDA's to ensure long-term employment viability. Under this outreach program, each artist on the label encourages their fans to embrace digital technology; from downloading singles and ring-tones, emailing photos, to blogging on the artists' site.
