PlanGraphics Provides Program Management for JCS June 2005 Coalition Warrior Demo in Kentucky

PlanGraphics, Inc. (Other OTC:PGRA.PK - News) has been chosen to provide ongoing program management for Kentucky's test of the CWID (Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration) sponsored by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. PlanGraphics' role includes applying its Web-based STEPs integration portal to provide emergency responders and decision makers at all levels with situational awareness tools providing a common operating picture necessary to effectively respond to and manage a natural disaster or terrorist event. In Kentucky, the CWID test is conducted by the Ky SCENE (Secure Collaborative Engagement Network for Emergencies) team, comprised of commercial firms, academic institutions, government civilian agencies, and military units. The team tested communications technology during Thunder Over Louisville, a major Kentucky Derby Festival event on Saturday, April 23, 2005. The test was in preparation for the CWID to be held in June 2005.

In inclement weather, members of the team conducted wireless communications solutions tests that will be used to support the CWID event, an annual event for showcasing C4ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) technology. In the United States, the 2005 event focuses on technology solutions to support interoperability between first responders, government agencies and the military. Participants in the communication test also included the National Geospatial Agency (NGA), the University of Louisville's Information Technology Research Center for Homeland Security and the KY National Guard 41st CST unit. Participants conducted tests of their communications configurations used to support organizations participating in the CWID demonstration. The goal is to provide access to the Internet and PlanGraphics' STEPs portal. Participants will access STEPs via any combination of the terrestrial Internet and secure wireless and satellite communication networks.
